I like the GS125, I would not change anything on it, except give it a 200cc engine two tone black and brushed metal. The rims could be kept alloy, but a modern style of them and in flat black, the star pattern looks to 80’s. A three spoke alloy rim would be best and black.

WOW, I thought the big bikes were somehow banned in 1990s...But then again I heard it from a friend of a friend of a friend who had a bike which was "claimed" by some police patrol somewhere sometime.
I think as Chinese economy is booming, Chinese customer will be more choosing. This shows in people buying Adidas over Li-Ning, Apple against Meizu and Buick over Chery. Chinese manufacturers will have to come up with something to keep up. And the government in its turn will have to come up with product (-s) that is attractive enough to keep cash flow inside the country. I think CFMoto and QianJiang/Benelli are just the beginning.

MJH, that bike looks very-very classic. 3-spoke alloys and 200cc would make it an ultimate commuter :)

IMO, to this 80's Suzuki, contemporary design wheels will fit as much as, 'scuse my French, tits to a chicken.

I never thought I would ever have any positive feelings about designs that are from the 1980’s, the reason I like the GS125 is the cues that remind me of the CB750SC

That is what I vision when I look at the Suzuki GS125, I see a revised version that picks up some of the element of the Honda. I also see simply bigger and beefier, but not to the level of the 750, just more like it. (200cc and fatter tires)

These type rims would look better on the GS125
