Chinese Nationalist kid: "I hate sushi".
Foreigner: "Why?"
Chinese Nationalist kid: "Because it's Japanese".
Foreigner: "But the seaweed sheet is made in China, the rice is grown in China, vegetables are grown in China and the fish was farmed in China, so it's not really from Japan".
Chinese Nationalist kid: "But Sushi is from Japan, so I hate it".
Foreigner: "What about the flavor?"
Chinese Nationalist kid: "I've never eaten it, because it's Japanese, I hate Japan. I love China".
Foreigner: "So to love China you must hate Japan, and all things Japanese even if it makes your own life less interesting and fulfilling?"
Chinese Nationalist kid: "Yes".
Foreigner: "Have you ever met a Japanese person?"
Chinese Nationalist kid: "No".
Foreigner: "So how do you know Japanese people are bad?"
Chinese Nationalist kid: "My government tells me".
What bullshit, people even hate on a recipes!

^that is so yesterdays news... :P from memory the elderly owners eventually agreed to something around CNY260,000 to move a week on after the house was surrounded by the bitumen/tarseal highway. Realistically they would have had little choice or alternative even if the owners had held their ground, since they'd virtually be cut off from the outside world most of the time, with the exception perhaps at night when they might have been able to venture outside to get supplies. Though it's likely markets and so forth would be closed. Still some enterprising pragmatic individuals could offer a delivery service with real convenience. :D
