Went on real easy. Just had to widen the rear mount holes- front fit perfectly.

Did you see my post about the stainless steel cup holder? Just drilled and dremeled out holes in the cup to match the speedo's cable and mount bolts. Used the original Heist speedo bracket- no cutting. Only drilled hole to match that. I did end up breaking off the Bridgestones light holder- the round metal protruding that the illuminator bulb attaches to. crunched it a few times and it came off. Probably didn't have to do that- instead attached the stock light to the stainless cup... Tomorrow I'll post a better picture from below.

    Ktmracer, Thanx :)

Jazz, I think I know what you mean but not absolutely sure so I'll ramble on. The stock rubber bulb housing was too big for the protruding metal ring on the speedo. I didn't want to cut any wires so I took a vice grip, held the speedo right side up so the ring was on the bottom, crunched the metal ring with the vice grip several times around until the pieces fell out leaving a nice large hole. Drilled a small hole in the bottom of the cup holder to match where the hole in the speedo is and progressively made it larger using the drill and dremel making sure it was centered when speedo was in the cup. Make the hole in the cup small enough to fit tightly around the stock rubber bulb holder. If you go too big it won't be a tight fit- sadly I dremeled a tiny bit too big but tight enough to hold it in place. Not perfect but what the hell :) The vintage bulb as you might have seen is the same voltage so you could splice the wires and just make the hole larger on the bottom of the cup yada yada anywho

    Best, Xeta

Thanks. Yea I drilled mine out big enough for the new wires but I didn't know which wires were the same since all different colors. So I just used the old one wrapped thick with electrical tape so it would stick in the hole. But you are right the new speedo works like butter.
