    Hey guys,
Getting ready to get this bike, but only one thing is stopping me, my lady. What I have tried to tell her is that this is safer than a crotch rocket or a cafe racer (I love cafe racers). I am not winning the fight, but hopefully, I can persevere in the end. What positives could I use for this bike to someone that feels that bikes are bad? Also, is there a way I can get a passenger seat put in or is a cab a better option? Thanks again.

So today I went to the junk yard to see no bikes and just
A few parts here and there and a couple of scooters. They did have a Kawasaki gas can. But it was too beat up. So I'm gonna have to wait and see if the get anything else comes in. I noticed the were bought out by LKQ. I hope this doesn't mean the will no longer get motorcycles in.

It will be a while before mine will be paid off. But I only had to put 1600.00 on my credit card as the dealer will be closing soon. Fortunately my credit card was paid off prior to the purchase. And until it is paid major mods will have to wait. I've give the bike fever to a friend. Hopefully I'll have a riding partner when I return to Tampa. If not ill have to make new ones. ;-)

Has anyone tried contacting Scooter Depot and seeing if we could order the new style gas tank that comes on the new limited edition bobbers?

HOLY $H!T, REALLY!!! HAVE YOU REALLY LOOKED AT THIS BIKE CLOSELY!! THIS BIKE IS A DOWN GRADE FROM WHAT WE ARE CURRENTLY RIDING! Look at that rear fender crap and that stupid a$$ cowboy saddle! Those rear fender reflectors are hidious and did you see where they re-routed the crankcase breather?! WTF?! The rear blinkers were an after thought and look at how the rear brake reservoir is attached to the bike
! I see alot of zipties now!

I think Freezerboy was referring to just seeing if one could buy the springer style fork. These forks are available on ebay for 495.00 its made in no doubt made in china also.

I haven’t called scooter depot either. I am guessing they have no parts in stock for this new bike, tanks or forks but may take orders. which one of us wants to be on hold for an hour? I agree with Skull, the new DF bike looks pretty thrown together with some strange ugly changes. Also a note on tanks... I noticed my buddies Dec build DF gas tank was welded together using a totally different way, with 3 times more welds that are much closer and finer than mine, looks to be of an improved welding technique, Time will tell if it leaks. Lots of tanks on ebay in the 150 range of all styles so if the worst happens.
    * Has anyones DEC buit tanks leaked at welds? Dont over tighten those tank nuts past snug at any rate!

To Bikerfool: Best selling points for your lady are: its super cheap...and super light weight, just like a bicycle with a motor. Certainly doesn't take up much room in the garage, cheap to buy insurance ta boot/ good luck.
Maybe better to beg forgivness later than ask for permission
    (just kidding)

I believe I have a December build. But you'll have to wait till I return home. But not pressing my luck on the tank. I hope I don't have to remove it. For any reason.
