Yea, i was only interested in the fork and i appreciate the link goodbar. Not sure i want to spend that much but something to think about. I really had not looked closely at the "NEW" dong fang model and just assumed that it was the same except for the tank and fork.
Thanks for pointing out the sad differences skull. Im quite happy with the 2010 model/version.

Yep, thats the one I bought. That one single piece of info was imho the most important one on this thread. Major safety issue IMO.

Killermotorsports in DFW was supposed to send me a replacement under warranty and that was over a year ago now. Not a word from them. I just got tired of trying to get them to huld up their service claim. Not even worth it any more. Im sure it's out of warranty now so I will treat this as a project bike and look to ppgrading to a jap bike in the future.

Chruk, How Much did you have to grind out the tank slots/ I havent taken mine off yet but will before spring so it can be installed correctly. Great tip, thanks. I will also add rubber insulator of some type also as I do like the looks of the original tank as it is unlike anything out there.

Crelow they must shot it on somekind of outdoor white syke* (* spelling) background and then photoshoped it to clean up the images even more. We hope to see some cool photos of your DF at somepoint Crelow.
Riding weather here in Minnesota is 60 days (or less) and counting.

Trust me I can't wait to get back to Florida and ride it. But the other day I seen some guy on the interstate with 30 degree weather riding his bike to dc. The guy is not right in the head. So when I get back more photos.

Well I do have aquestion, I already ordered a side mount bracket, I know the light will fit on it but How much work can I expect when rerouting the wiring outside of the fender?

Also, how much thread is left on the axle once the mount is in place? Do I have to consider that?

Here is the mount I ordered, the thickness seems to be ~ 1/4 inch.

    License plate bracket

One more thing, what is that cylinder some of you have installed on the crank case exhaust fight before the air filter?

freezerboy- i got the tensioner at legendmcs.com, near the bottom of the page, by 'LBV'

goodbar- when you set the new tank on the tabs, it will show you where to grind. i had to cut towards the frame on mine. i used a drill, a new bit, and ground at it with the side of the bit.
i agree with the tank style. i wanted to put a sporty type tank on.
the new rtb shows me what that will look like. i'll keep this one.
