Here is something interesting from CJU....
This guy has Dyno tested his SV with Jap carbs and HD sceamin eagle exhaust
"From Thomas Tjäderbäck: "This is a [dyno] test on an M1M Chang with real Mikuni TM carbs and Screaming Eagle Sportster mufflers. The carbs are not fully adjusted on this test. I drove it just before the snow and 140 km/H is not bad for a flattie!
I run it with an original 1954 Russian gearbox I borrowd from a friend. It worked like a Rolex!"Last edited by Shanghaifingers; 02-21-2009 at 04:14 AM.

Just under 13 HP. WoW
Tim will probably be pissing himself if he sees this. And it will make for some excellent fodder over at CJU.
Less than I had thought but..........it's a Chang. Torque numbers are pretty good considering and the torque number is more important for a Chang than peak HP. I think the trick is getting the HP and Torque curves to peak around the same point.
Do you have the air fuel ratios portion of the test ?
That would be interesting to see. I imagine an exhaust crossover would help eliminate some of that mid range dip and could help level out the torque curve a bit.
The curves are a bit jumpy and perhaps thats because the jetting no 100%......the a/f ratios could help there.
If you friend has the time it would be a interesting exercise to try swapping exhausts....... straight pipes vs stock vs his HD mufflers and making a comparison.
Some intake and exhaust port smoothing would also help wring out some more power as the internal passages are really quite brutal.
