#231 These people should rot in jail

Even wondered why the government is against motorbikes, and foreigners, and foreigners on motorbikes? Have a look:

Well, you think it is a long time ago, and not to bad he? Just pulling some half-ass wheelies on an almost remote street on a Sunday afternoon, quite a while ago?
But the exact same guys do the hardcore in the night:

And then, heeeee, I remember this red/black Suzuki in the vid's; it was from a guy who wanted to race to Paris on it.
Finally claimed he had to give up cause he was hit by an e-bike .... my ass ....
The time he crashed is about the same as the last video.

'Hitler was good'
According to some of my students 'Hitler was Good'. While the homosexual part Jewish mass murderer of millions of Jews, Gypsies, Slavs, Russians and homosexuals was busy killing, apparently his corrupted heart 'bled' for the plight of the also racially superior Chinese people suffering under the oppressive occupation of the evil Japanese, and would have done anything he could to help but 'his hands were tied'.

^And that surprises you? C'mon, they don't have a word for logic, nor one equivalent, and certainly in my years of experience here, have failed miserably to even demonstrate that they have any viable alternative. One only has to observe any place round these parts (take almost any part of China) with a fairly high concentration of locals to see the herd mentality at work. Whether it be, pedestrians, road users (not too mention the mismatch in types of those), inside buildings, massing at elevators or escalators, queuing at one counter or another (lack thereof), or the subway, and in the lesser populated regions, then any herding animal will provide a worthy demonstration. The whole thinking is backwards, and you are welcome to take that either figuratively or literally, since both circumstances equally apply. Oh, and the 9-11 atrocity? there are still plenty of the local populace here (TIC) who smile and muse about all that, the consequences and how the Americans deserved it, never mind the tens of tens of nationalities killed in that very real and clear demonstration of so called humanity.
Prejudice, or bias... you bet-cha!
I'm off for a bike ride to the mountains, where I can do some epidemiological reading away from the... <blank>

Logic is subordinate to philosophy, generalizing people is a fallacy. If your seeking a Chinese word for logic then ask them to describe their philosophy on life and all the aspects of life, logic is there is many words.
Historically the Chinese people were and in degrees still are exposed to high levels of government sponsored propaganda much of which were and are based in fallacies. Today we all get exposed through mass media, advertisements and politics with what are fallacies, some believe it all and others see through it, fortunately we have and are educated to filter, higher education here encourages critical analysis.

What about "逻辑"the Chinese loanword for logic? I'm fairly fluent in Chinese and I don't see how it differs in usage from the English word. Are you sure you're not just having a "Eskimos have a hundred words for snow" moment here?

I've heard this too, from my gf of all people and I wasn't pleased either. But with further thought I think it relates to Mainland China's inherent need for international friends or "国际友人" to increase its own feeling of self-worth. The idea of any Westerner caring for China seems to make Chinese people feel all warm and fuzzy inside no matter who they are.
