Once again if you don't go thru all your bolts to insure they are locktite then please do a pre inspection before you ride. Today as I was charging the bike to get it started I noticed the front caliper bolt was half inch out just dangling.

So be safe when you ride.

bob form NV, please help. how the heck did you get the pictures to work in your profile?

Go to the top of the page and click profile.

On the left side of that page is albums, click that.

Then name the album and create it.

the pictures you have posted will be available or you can download from your computer.

the ones already posted you select and then drag and drop them to the space below.

Hit save and the it takes you to a screen where you can name the captions.

Hit save again and you're rolling.

The regular inspection garage was closed with a sign saying to go up to the main building. They had a training session where these three women came out and looked at the bike, that was sitting in the back of a pickup, like it was going to bite them. They verified the vin # and ran back inside.

When I've gone there before they tested everything. Everything I took in before was old so maybe that made a difference.

They himed and hawed over the MSO and of course there was no Dong Fang in their records but it didn't seem to mater. The whole thing took under 15 minutes. My lucky day I guess.

Here is a short video of the bike running.

    http://youtu.be/3DH4Qd2oQ1s

This is where I have the idle set at start up I have to either turn up idle. Or hold the throttle a hair. But no big deal. I still get hiccups but not near as much. But I think it cause I have to change the low jet. Like Goodbar has recommended. All I have to do for now is get a battery.

Post # 2071: My shift linkage broke in the exact same spot. I was able to cut off the threaded end and carefully drill into the beefy part of the rod, tap that and bought some threaded rod to thread into the tapped section. My drilling was slightly off and you could see CIMG4519.jpgthe shape of the threads on the outside of the rod so I JBWelded three nuts on the outside to "beef up" the rod. 700 miles later and I've had no issues. I actually think it is stronger now than the original.
