    BrandyJ,
I registered my previous DF250RTB (2010 model) in Florida where I reside in the winter.

You need to check with the TN DMV with a DF VIN number to verify if you can register it in TN.

So far we know that the DF cannot be registered in California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
There are probably more states to add to the list but you need to check with TN.

Here is a message from this thread that I saved so I could check with the DMV in Hawaii to see if they would license one of these here: "DFContact your DMV with this V.I.N.# LXDPCNL09A212xxxx (add any numbers in place of the x's) At most, you might have to get it inspected first. But they should be able to tell you if they will register and title that vin #."

I'm fully registered, insured and plated in Michigan. In fact, I just got my first police pull-over for -ahem- running a stop sign. Truth be told, the young cop just wanted to check out my bike. No ticket, especially after I gave him my m/c dealer business card showing my shop located in his city.

wait a second here dan, didnt you put a car tire on your bike, let alone have a differnt bike and rims to begin with?

My question was for all those that have replaced their rear sprockets on this bobber, me and at least one other on this forum, forget who, had noticed the original sprockets will align the teeth about 1/16" further out from center than these JTR replacements. So for the life of me I truly can't see how that doesn't matter.

So how about it, hadst anyone else noticed this?

    axa,
When I replaced the rear sprocket with the JTR on my previous DF250RTB (2010) it was in alignment. I'll be changing out the rear sprocket on my soon to arrive DF250RTB-A soon and will check the alignment because I feel that it is important.

Hello All. been away for sometime due to my problems with my bikes fender. As you may recall from a previous post.. I bought my 2012 non-springer back in march. The fender was rubbing against the tire and ripped off the clips on the inside of the fender that hold the brake wires.. as well as destroyed the wires..

Scooter depot first sent me a tail light replacement that was made too short and the wire did not reach the oil tank harness. Next they made me custom brackets to try and lift the fender and it required me to do welding on the fame. I refused to do this. Next.. I was waiting..since march for just a total replacement of the fender, supports, and light.. apparently they have been on back order I called literally twice a week... every week since I bought the bike.. and i was eventually told it may be a year before they were available...

I finally flipped out called my bank.. who then called sunnysports.. and was all prepared to do a full charge back.. since the bike was suppose to be brand new and working.. and it's not what i got..

I then got a call from sunnysports (scooterdepot) from a manager who said he would personally have somehting in the mail for me in one week. He took a fender from the old 2010 style... made custom arched brackets that attach where the turn signals would mount on that model.. and fit it for the 2012... Not sure how it is going to look.. as it has not arrived yet.. but the riding season is comning to and end here in new England and I have yet to been able to even register this bike. Lets hope after all this that the damn thing is RI compliant.

Anyway.. since I already repainted my tank and fenders a satin black... and this new frankenstein fender will need paint.. im just going to rip it all down and use my HVLP and redo it all semi-gloss black..

I have so many hours into this bike and have not even had it on 2 lane road yet.

The reason i bought the 2012 and not the 2010 was because i liked the lines of the bike... lets hope this fender style does not ruin it.

    Bobthebobber,
Sorry to hear you are having a serious problem with your DF. I should get my 2012 DF tomorrow so will be looking at the taillight wiring clearance. Are you the only one with this problem on the 2012?
    Thanks

no it has happened to about a half dozen people.. Apparently you can just bend the arch supports and it allows greater clearance
