Rusting bolts, Soberpete's bike left outside in the rain uncovered. Some powdercoat and better alloys, I feel after paying 34,500 we deserve better.

Soberpete has a Jianshe Yamaha YBR250, none of these problems. I had a Sundiro Honda CBF150. Both made in China, both waaayy cheaper, both no problems. So caveat emptor is bollox. AKA we can do it properly, but a laowei has to manage us and kick our ass to do it properly.

But you just said 2 words which is very importance Honda and Yamaha we have both a CF bike with no help or advise on matter that count . You will get other problems with you bike make no doubt about it and when I consided to buy the CF at 40k I was fully aware that things would go wrong and parts would not last but with all that said when the bike does go wrong or rust it don't mean I am happy about it

Yeah, Prince you've been lucky so far but wait for the time when you can't ride the weather is nice because your bike is in pieces, then you'll be cursing CFMOTOs name. Yes I knew that we'd have some problems, but Steve Halt reported one foggy tach and a fork seal in 7000 kms. Doesn't seem like the same bike we bought, somethings not right. I think CFMOTO have lowered their game to make more money not improved their quality. Like there is some bike-hating money-loving Sanatana-driving manger running the shop floor.

Still bike handles, brakes and accelerates like a dream but I think we are going to have more glitches with our EFIs than an Indian telephone exchange.

    EFI Glitch:

Soderpete's bike 280kms: Bike is very hard to start at times and when it does start the error is 2 long and 8 short flashes, main relay error. However if you turn the bike off and start the starting sequence again it will start normally half the time. Probably a loose connector or cheap connector causing problems.

This is honestly what worries me the most about these lovely fancy new China bikes... all the magic black boxes... as soon as we throw efi into the mix then there are oxygen sensors, ecus, throttle sensors and god knows what other little bits of compicated non user servicable dookickies that can break and go wrong... and we all know that they will break and go wrong.. they are not good enough.. a shanzai iphone will never be as robust as the real thing... I've made up my mind on the X5.. but thank goodness it still has a carb :P

Serpenza, some will say that it's just bad luck. But two new bikes with efi issues isn't bad luck, that's crappy something. The CFMOTO stuff is made by an Italian JV in Shenzhen called ITT. If you got a CFMOTO you'd be able to pop down to the factory and get new parts at least....

It's not the cost of buying new expensive parts that is annoying, nor even getting them fitted. It's the Chinese mentality of NEVER holding enough inventory. Your dealer will NEVER have your parts in stock, and there will NEVER be any in your province either. So it's always 'phone the factory and get them sent'. Chinese customer service sucks and is uber glacial slow so if your electronics are a bit crappy you bike will be off the road for weeks a year waiting for new parts. That's the lamest thing. Personally I'd love to retrofit carbs, but can't be bothered with the hassle of sourcing them and making my bike illegal.

well things is not any better in Vietnam!! i went to dealer to ask oil & air filters and they did not have any.. but in here it seems to be that if one seller sell printers then they ONLY sell printers, so don't go ask for ink or even paper!!

If only they would have parts in stock in city of Hekou china! could just drive or take train to Lao Cai where they have border with china and buy parts without custom fees!

Must be an Asian thing, not just China. Shoe stores don't sell laces in case you only buy new laces and not new shoes!!
