It fell off Soberpete's bike three weeks ago and we're still waiting for the seat three weeks later.
Get it in 48 hours = ecstatic, job well done boys, you really showed you care about your customers.
Get it in four days = no complaints, pretty happy.
Get it in a week = ok, kinda ok.
Get it in 2 weeks = Freaking stupid and ridiculous if the part is manufactured in the same country you are in, at least work out a believable excuse. Annoying but understandable if being posted internationally.
Get it in 3 weeks = Furious.
Month or more = Past anger onto some level of resigned hatred.
See what you are doing? These days of the interweb people regard Chinese products with suspicion because of their famous slap-dash lazy sub-standard garbage tractor factory mentality. Often this is true, sometimes not. When you make people unhappy they vent on the web, then you lose money and when you are trying to sell something that people are borderline on 'should I buy a 6 month old Honda or a new CFMOTO?' a couple of negative comments online can make the difference.

Thinking about getting Maxxis Diamond as my next set of tires. The price is right, the reviews are good the bike came with Cheng shin, which are actually the parent brand for Maxxis. Maxxis are also my favorite brand on mountain bike tire because they have superb grip and last for ages.
You can see the tires have very similar tread patterns and shapes. As anyone who has ridden in China knows general road shrapnel likelyhood is high and seeing out the tire's lifespan without repairs is unlikely. makes sense if you have part-worn old tires that match up well with your new tires in case the new tires get irreparably damaged.

Maxxis Diamond CST ???
Also I noticed the UK gets 'Z' rated CST tires, in China you get the 'H' rated tire.

One guy "jiminsf" on BMWOA with a C600 complaining about having waited 11 months (so far) for a set of drop protectors on order for his scoot... prepaid for and all. "Flatpic" been waiting 8 weeks on his parts - meaning his scoot has been off the road during that period.

Doc, I don't understand why you need to go on a 'look other people have to put up with unacceptable customer service too' tangent.
For me it's simple.........if you are waiting for parts that are being sent from within your country a one week wait is acceptable. If you are waiting for parts to be sent internationally a three week wait is acceptable. Any longer is unacceptable, be you BMW, Honda or CFMOTO.

The reason is simple, because you're seemingly on a tangent about your situation and your having to wait for parts for several weeks. You're not the only one to experience waiting for parts for a motorcycle and consequently CFMoto are not the only company that have affected customers who are waiting periods of time for parts. I participate on numerous m/c forums, and there are a handful of riders who are and have waited for what could be best described as extraordinarily long periods of time for the outcome of possible warranty claims, let alone being supplied with replacement parts or accessories.
As it stands, you've no idea whether or not the dealer had even ordered the parts, even if they might tell you they had. I'm sure most of us in PRC know how honest and trustworthy locals can be, especially when it comes to doing business. As previously outlined by yourself, there seemed to be some confusion over which CFMoto dealer was handling your warranty. You also commented that each of the two dealers had both positive and negative attributes, one or two of which might have had an affect on your parts order.
So can you rightly attribute 100% blame the manufacturer?
I've also outlined some of the reasons as to why possibly your parts you have been waiting for might not have materialised in an arbitrary time frame that you determined was acceptable. I'm not especially trying to defend CFMoto per-se, but just provide some insight as to why possibly your parts haven't turned up yet - was all. I also have a "bad taste in my mouth" about CFMoto and the lie about the "650TR tall screen" which I've commented on elsewhere.
As for your comment about the technical abilities of staff and the facilities, look around, there are many different brands of motorcycle shop that you could broadly apply your statement too. It doesn't just apply to CFMoto dealers (some might not even be official dealers). My local Suzuki dealer where I've bought a half dozen bikes over the years, has four motorcycle lifts. I was there the day they arrived. I've only ever once seen one used in anger. On all my other visits into the shop (admittedly not a daily occurrence) the lifts have laid bare despite there being plenty of bikes on the workshop floor in various stages of being worked upon.
It's also relative too that just because a shop carriers a certain brand, and has signage plastered thereabouts, an authorised dealer it does not make. In my riding circle here, one of the guys in the group has a Benelli shop, with half a dozen BJ600's amongst some others. His shop has a small workshop out back, characteristically under-resourced and mostly untidy, though this does not necessarily reflect his ability or skills. His shop has better than average front shop signage though. To me, and probably most everyone else, looks very much a Benelli dealer. Go to the Benelli company website here in China, look up the list of dealers, and this guys shop isn't listed. Actually there's no shop listed for this city - at least there wasn't the last time I looked.
Gotta wonder.Last edited by bikerdoc; 10-07-2013 at 01:15 AM.

You can try the 'nice' method. Gets you nowhere, then you're a pushover. They do nothing.
Then you try the 'angry' method. Then they hate you and delay/cancel the order out of spite.
Then you try the 'please please please' method. Now that works about 25% of the time, only if you are willing to pay and the boss is receptive.
