Björn,
Since VW/Audi took pocession of the F-1 track, there are no more track-days so far.
Sad but true, as we had very nice ones before.

Shanghai Tianma F-3 track is regular open for free practice, but is not the safest and cleanest.
Their website lists their programming, but it is safer to call them as it is not always up to date, and there are often opportunities in between track events.

May I ask what you mean by its not the cleanest or safest? Is there a lot of fluid on the track or is their ambulance response just bad?

The track has little run-off area, with concrete walls to compensate for that.
Ok for cars, but can be catastrophic for riders.
There is further no control on the technical state of cars and bikes.
Cars and bikes can run be leaking oil or coolant (no check on coolant), and there is hardly cleaning up of the track.
I experienced this first hand on a free track ride.
Coolant in the corner with unfortunate results.
And there is no ambulance or even medical personnel, and the nearest hospital refused to accept me (but that is an other story).

All that said, it is the only one we have right now, and it could be worse.
Everyone needs to check for himself.

Yeah, unfortunately there was nothing much "clean cut" in this case.
Was riding my Buell not fast at all during the session, and certainly not on the outlap I was in.
Back of the circuit (turn 4 for those who know), lost the front at probably 50km/h, perhaps even less, on coolant of the bike in front of me.
Totally not prepared (wrong), I was on my face before I even realized what happened.
Must have hold the bars (again, not prepared), the bars turned to the left during the fall, and the clutch handle squeezed the top off.
I stood up, knew all at once a lot was wrong (broke several ribs, fractured some more), but did not realize the finger thing till I saw the top of the glove laying on the tarmac.
Got it, looked at it, saw something inside, looked at the related finger ... well ...
I peeled the part out, put it in my mouth, jumped on one of the passing race bikes, went from the pits to the local hospital, only to be denied.
A friend of me drove me to the Huashan hospital in Shanghai, only to hear they could do nothing as is was smashed-up too much.
How about that for sucking a finger for 1 1/2 hour?
Good thing: if something like this happens, do it in China.
Doctors have loads of experience, and I must say he did an excellent job.
Cut an other centimeter of the bone as skin was missing, stitched it all up, and ready to go.
The ribs were the very painful part, the finger was actually nothing much to bother about, other then emotional stress for the wife.
On my way to the first hospital I called her, and told her my arm was off.
Thought that, if later telling her it was actually only a top of a finger, things should be not too stressful.... I am still waiting for forgiveness, even after almost 5 years ...
