If you ever decide to do Alaska, please let me return the many favors you've kindly provided me in China. There are a few less-traveled routes to the North which are MUCH more interesting than the Alaska Highway (AH). The AH has been paved, is now full of massive RVs and trucks, has many long boring stretches, and an ever-reducing amount of wildlife. Each of the BC and Yukon Ministries of Forests provide detailed maps on the back roads.
But it is not just me ... there are several Canucks on this website, each with considerable local knowledge.
