Does anyone have input on the difference between the different makes of YBRs?
I know G is for dual-sport, but what is K? Besides different brakes and being a bit bigger the KG also seems almost the same as the G?
Could someone clear this up for me perhaps? Which would yall suggest?

hey prince, thanks for the reply. I'll mostly be on alright (for china standard) roads, with a little off-roading (but i guess that could be avoided too). Looking also to go down to SE asia in the winter, and assuming the road quality wont get better. Will definitely be covering a fair amount of distance.
I saw in another thread that you have a KG? how'd you decide on that? do you like it?

A member on here advise me on KG but a do have a CF 650cc TR and and CF Jexlux 250cc as well but the last 2 are in shandong and the KG is in Hainan , i put 8500 km in 6 weeks on the KG in Hainan and the bike is very sweet the CST dual-sport tyres are very very good i can push the little KG around bends better then the other 2 bikes , leave here (shandong) on Monday and fly back down to Hainan to pick up the KG and leave by the 28th and head over to Thailand by way of Laos for 10 weeks riding , mainly to find out all the ins and outs of getting a Chinese plated bike over the borders for a lager goup of rides to do the same trip later this year ? so you can call me the test pilot hehhehe, so what ride are you thinking about to do SE asia?? if you are thinking about doing your trip late this year you are welcome to join our group the more the better.
In all the riding i have done , and just done 20,000 KM in Thailand this year some of the best parts was when we went semi-offroad found some great mountains roads that realy need a bike like a ADV or in a small cc the KG ??? and is still very good on the dry main roads , but with this size engine you need to travel light , done some test ride in the 8500KM in Hainan and i would say you need to be no more then 90/100 KG total at this weight you can still have loads of fun with the bike and will still make it up some very steep hills ok i top out at 1400 meters ,this is all based from my rides in Hainan which is very hilly . so my 2 cent go for the KG ...

awesome, thanks! I think i'm looking at getting the G now because I like how its just a bit bigger and has a kick start too, which is nice to have.

as for SE asia, i'm not sure on the timeline yet! have to be in aus for xmas, but other than that i'm not planned for sure. Will let you know and excited to hear how the foray into thailand goes! (let me know if you happen to try to cross the burmese border too, would like to know the possibility of that

when you say "G" you mean the "KG" the same as mine ??? . should of told you trip will be in the new year ??? as to Burma yes it is open now for bikes but not up north of Burma but still need a load of shit to do before hand and is best in a tour...and i think there is only a few border crossing that you can use but Laos,Thailand and cambodia all ok to ride with loads of border crossing to entry and exit from .....
