Totally agree.. I usually do it myself.. But I put this picture up there as I've not seen any worse.. It's a cock up extraordinare!!!!

Give the dude a soldering iron and some solder.
Usually they go 'ooohhh' and then go inside to grab their own soldering iron and solder and do it properly because they just lost face as they now realize that you actually 'know too'. Most Chinese customers know nothing and would happily stand here while they bodged their electrics...hmm that was quick and cheap.
