on the battery topic, while to doubt these are cheap batteries, im on 1.5 years and 1500 miles, and have to do a combo starter/bump start all the time... I want to put a nice small lithium iron battery but am hesitant.

i've bench tested 2 R/R, and found while they regulate, they do not produce a well rectified DC component from the stator.
I'm waiting for some confirmation from the hoard on this.
But right now I assume any battery will not be well maintained over the long term with a bunch of short energy bursts as it receives with this R/R.

I'm guessing no battery will last as long as it would have with a better generator.
but again what do I know.

Is that stator a 2 or 3 wire unit?

I can't believe no one knows where to get a direct bolt on clutch cable for these Chinese Bobbers. Right ? Or am I wrong ?

You must Look at the engine number. The first signs are engine Type for example 157FMI is an one cylinder 125. Then you must search for parts for this engine. It must not be dongfang. You can tak parts from lifan or other

this i know is the proper procedure for finding most (engine) parts for these Chinese clones, but im curious how a clutch cable would be found, arent there so many differnt kinds of bikes that need various lengths on a 167fmm? ATVs use it, these bobbers use it, these boobers with ape hangers use it... there must be numerous different lengths
