For the major part yes. New motorcycle sales a rare. Of course, there are lots of "plain vanilla" Chinese bikes under all sorts of names and brands, but they all come from "episodic" imports. There aren't really stable importers or distributes with established brands or something.

Actually, even though I'm not well informed with your local market, I still got the impression that something is way too different with C- moto in Bulgaria comparing to other Balkan countries.

I become envious because two million Macedonians have here-to-stay "Hamachi", which, BTW, wipes floor with barely alive Serbian C-moto brand "Sprint", that here and in neighboring ex-Yu countries has a ten million people market.

Sprint does not seem so dead?

They are not so selective for models...

They are. As much can I hear the local motorcycle forum, for example, the "Pioneer" made "Pulser" is not imported since '10 or '11, the same thing with "Apollo". "Raptor" SPT is sold out for some time and no one expects new batch. I have no reason to believe that it is not the same with scooters that offer. What is the worst, often occurs problem with spare parts.

Today they sell old stocks. Since '08 or '09, sales volumes were significantly reduced, retail network too.

People you can see on "Sprint's" site are their office clerks and mechanics.

I'd be surprised if there is an "official" importer of C-Moto in Bulgaria as I'm yet to see one. CF-Moto are imported, but they're trying to sell ATVs and those ugly UTVs of theirs.

http://scoot.bg/shop/modeli-scoot have been around for some time now, but they sell only Lifan scooters really. At least I haven't come across something else on the street yet.

It’s not possible to base a business solely on the wholesale importing and sale of these Chinese motorcycles. It is possible…just not going to be profitable or better said sustainable.
Any effort would have to include something else, some other revenue generating business model.
I read that analysts see both Serbia and Bulgaria as underserved, something like five percent of all new vehicles annually are two wheeled and that represents less than other similar markets, based on climate, warmer climates typically have higher sales then colder climates.
In Bulgaria you have some polarization, the economics in Sofia different then other regions. The same for Belgrade? In these enclaves it is not likely that these types of vehicles will appeal to the up and coming, they want a higher status? The markets do need serious consideration, for example it could be possible to operate out of Burgas and in that supply rental scooters to shops along the Black Sea Coastal cities. Then also retail sell and support products that would appeal to residents within the Province as well. That would offer a consistent or more consistent potential for revenue for each retail outlet. I also believe that since neither of the countries are that large one center could likely serve the entire country at first and growth would only then be through real actual demand and only justifiable if cost effective as in more efficient and sustainable.
I would also suggest that any shops also have a café and be owners residences as well, a family business catering to tourists and also sell modest simple models to locals in the region.
That could rent small bikes and scooters with GPS and then serve them some authentic regional food and offer them some options for route selection on the GPS. That could be a set of destinations along the coast and last for a day or longer, with scheduled stops with set accommodations. Logging meals…networked with others and shared revenue.

Currently they do such "tours" with 4x4s. Usually old Russian ones, which probably are quite "exotic" in the eyes of western tourists I suppose

And yes, Balkans are the same as China when it comes to vehicles. Your mean of transportation must be fast, black and Made in Germany

If by some miracle one decides to get a motorcycle, it must be one of those PVC crotch rockets. You know Honda CBR, Yamaha R1 (R6 is for beginners after all!), etc. Once you have one of these, the eyes of all female 10-th graders turn into rolling heart icons and their knees get wobbly when you pass by, or park in front of a café on the high street.

The fact that your riding skills stretch only to being able to ride with 200+km/h on the highway straights, is irrelevant. After all who needs twisty roads with all these turns and opposing traffic. when they've build a three-lane highways?

I can not find an appropriate topic for this my "finding"

I mentioned recently this ZT 70 moped on which someone had been too enthusiastic with spokes. Here's another CG clone, also with a s...load of spokes - Turkish "Motoran Scorpion". Note engine in the color of copper.
