The GV that will be badged as a Hyosung, will have a bored out version of the v-twin, 275cc
This is all relatively new stuff, there is definitely an affiliation in China with Qingqi.

Ask him if they are working with Mahindra, now that they have a controlling interest in Peugeot scooters.

Qingqi manufactures scooters, they manufacture scooters for Peugeot, some are imported but some are made domestically in China and then exported.
The Django sold in china is not likely imported, even though its price would make one think it is.
I would wager to bet that many parts if not entire models sold throughout the EU are made in China.
They are likely on the radar of the people at Mahindra through the JV, it presents a link between the two largest markets for scooters. They may be empowered in the future or discounted, since Mahindra owns the majority share in Peugeot they can control that.

Hyosung is the brand used by KR Motors their venture with Yinxiang may or may not be ongoing, at one time 2009 UM was involved and distributing rebranded models of Hyosung. There are links back to Suzuki and engine technology utilized by KR, that is based on Suzuki technology.
The industry overall has excess capacity, many factories kept upgrading and expanding, then the bottom fell out. So it makes sense for a company like KR Motors to take advantage of the excess capacity at Qingqi.Last edited by MJH; 05-29-2017 at 03:15 PM.
