02-07-2018, 06:29 PMHi guys.
My Tr has developed a "clunk" sound from the fork area when riding on uneven road surfaces.....mainly it does this at 30mph or less.
It had new head stock bearings fitted 2,000 miles ago...and they where 're torqued 200 miles later.
The Tr had its 1st MOT a few weeks back....told the tester about the clunk.....he paid more attention to the forks and bearings during the test...but he said the bearings felt fine and no play in them.
I cannot make the bike make the Clunk sound at a standstill.....or by trying to compress the forks with the brakes on.
I have checked most things I can see for tightness.
Any further clues guys???????
Cheers

Something doesn't sound correct.
List of my passed CFmoto bikes with no head bearing problems.
1 TR with 32.000 km
2. TR-G with 75.000 km
3. MT with 37.000 km
Never heard of Head bearing problems on CFmoto bikes before.
More unlucky then "crap'
Hope the bike is all fixed now."Arguing on the Internet is like running in the Special Olympics, even if you win you're still retarded"

03-06-2018, 07:44 AMHi Prince.
The 1st set gave up at 1,700 miles!.......when removed they where bone dry..no grease at all.
This set have done about 3,000 miles.
Not repairing it, will ride it as it is, till they get too noisy to put up with.
At nigh on £80 for the bearings, which I think is a astronomical price! I won't bother replacing, only to have them fail in sbout 3,000 miles again..
Yep crap.
