06-19-2018, 09:15 AMI am modifying a standard clutch as found on 244 and 253 engines. Normally they have 4 springs. I am wanting to upgrade the clutch because I sometimes pull a trailer, and it looks like the inner bits for a CG200 clutch will fit right in.
There are a few variations of the "CG series" clutch using 4, 5, and 6 springs and standard and wide plates. I have decided to go with the inner clutch hub that uses wide plates.
I am wondering how hard the clutch lever pull is on the 6 spring clutch. I don't want to make the upgraded clutch a tiresome effort to pull so I am asking if anybody has experience with the 5 and 6 spring CG style clutches used often on tricycles and things that use the CG 150/200/250/300 style engines.
