01-04-2017, 07:32 PMI wasn't sure where to put this. At this point I guess now considered a motorcycle....lol
I haven't been very active mainly because I had nothing worth talking about.lol
So I'll get started, I was looking to purchase a full set of the dfst50cc ninja racer fairings. Or the tao tao racer50cc something. Instead I picked up a non-running dfst50.
It was pretty beat from the previous owner. A lot of little things but I got it for cheap so.
On to the build, after a quick look over. I thought I might be able to do something. So here's what I did.
I bought a Kawasaki 250r engine and rear swingarm assembly.
Then went to work and here's some before and current pics.

01-04-2017, 07:41 PMMore pics.
I still got a ways to go. I will be using bigger rims and running dual front disc brakes.
The motor makes 29.91hp and has between 14.5k /15k rpms.
Also has a 6speed gear box. I'm building this to have some fun on the tracks.
This is as far as I got so far after having this for a month and a half.

01-05-2017, 08:31 PMThanks to all...
I will keep posting as I progress. Will be a lot of trial and error as I am building to do trackdays on.
My next step will be to order the bigger rims. So I can see how much room I will have for the headers and the radiator.
Stay tuned.

That's a great project! I'll be definitely watching this one very closely!
All good things happen after 3,000 rpm.

01-07-2017, 09:48 AMThank you.
Didn't do much today, I put the fairings on. To get a visual on how the much the bottom of the motor. Sticks out underneath the belly pan. I will have to extend the belly pan a little bit. Once I put the headers on. They will stick out a little bit from underneath.
I also order 1 of the bigger wheels I hope to use. Only bought 1 because if it turns out. The 15in wheels are to big. I wouldn't lose out to much on the money side.
Need the larger wheel to help setup the front-end. Have to make sure I have plenty of room the the headers and radiator.
This swingarm will not be used. It is much to heavy to be used for anything besides a boat anchor.. I'm gonna try the cbr250r swingarm setup.

01-09-2017, 10:33 PMSo I got in the bigger wheel. 15in dual discs on the rear. It looks like its supposed to be. On the front the wheel looks like its eating the bike. A little to big. So I came to the conclusion a 14in wheel probably would've been better.....lol So I chalk this up to a $100 mistake.
I will continue to use this wheel to help finish the bike. Then go down to a smaller wheel.
