if i were you i'd just go ahead and replace the rim, the only other option i could see is getting the rim you have resealed, but i wouldn't know where to take it or how much it would cost. it should be covered under your parts warranty at ScooterDepot unless you're past your 6 months. if you're willing to spend the money you could always check with your local motorcycle shop and try to get some alloy rims that would fit so you don't have to worry about any spokes.
