Great stuff guys.
The modifications are great, especially so with the photos that encapsulate the idea (as is said, a picture does indeed paint a thousand words).
Franki your western China travel seems like a great adventure, that I think a few of us would like to be able to replicate. Perhaps we need to think about and discuss/plan some long trip together, even though many of us are living far apart, we could still organise a get together and then join in one location for a ride during the October holiday (perhaps taking a fortnight off). I'd particularly like to be able to mount and ride this steed > http://www.super-tenere.co.za/homepage.htm oh yes indeedy I think that would be the ideal weapon of choice, that is ofcourse if I had a choice.

Yup, that is a great bike if it lives up to the hype. And very pretty ut I wouldn't dream of it as you do mate! It is only rideable if you allow the computer to do the thinking. HUH, may as well get a 4WD ute! However it is also $US18K plus and then many of the necessary 'accessories' are extra which they shouldn't be at that price. And not available in USA lol.
I can fully understand why this JH600 is so attractive and why AW sees the benefit (and fun) in adding the bits he has to further improve it.

Well, another cool choice is this. I think it can't get more perfect for adventure traveling (solo). Best combination in reliability, toughness, performance, low maintenance,...
Dreaming... sooner or later!
AW.

Found this post http://www.moto8.cn/viewthread.php?t...&authorid=2652 by chance while reading on motofans.cn and http://motorcycle.sh.cn/viewthread.php?tid=330242 Pfaezer and Franki might be interested since it details a lot of JH600 mods...

Yeah - that's how my guys sent the bike up to Zhejiang - in that red box. There is a bunch of other pages about that modification done by Mr Tu. See here: links.
Your 2nd page doesn't show pix - can't read chinese, so...
Good to see that information is spreading and I hope to find some more good ideas to play on the JH600.
Cheers,
AW.
