Interesting life story there Supersignet. In South Africa Lada had the same kind of reputation but people bought them - maybe because they were 4x4 and cheap.
A dentist friend had one and said he loved it, and it was really comfortable.:thumbup:
I saw one used in the Drakensberg 400 rally but it didn't impress because for some reason they had holes in the back window and tiny access windows in the doors, so it was full of dust when they stopped at the end of the race.:thumbdown:
At my first school one of the families had a Lada convertible, which looked cool.:biggrin: There were two pretty girls in the family, so I guess that added to the appeal.:thumbup:
