It is a near copy of a Yamaha TW200 and it has it own set of attributes and shortcomings. Like the ZS200GY it would be good off road and better in some circumstances then traditional dirt bike and not as good in other circumstances.

I really like the look of the TW200. Where do you think it performs badly?

The tw200 I found this morning looked like a retro farm bike, not sure if the link played out right because I can't find it now - the original yamaha tw200 bike was a good looking bike and quite different.
I think it was suggested to Ekki because it has a 790mmm seat height and a fat back tyre?
But now I am confused as the Zongshen Sierra and the Q-link X-ranger are meant to be a lot lower again at 719mm? I have got something wrong or else internet reports are suss!

On really hot days you put your feet up on it and get a 100 kph breeze up your trouser legs ... or else put a dvd player on it for on-road entertainment?
Traditionally, it is where your sheep dog sits when you are riding between paddocks, rounding up the sheep.
But you can put what ever you want on it Ekki. In the Movie 'Machete' it is a gatling gun mount, bloody handy in traffic.

I really like the look of the TW200. Where do you think it performs badly?

Fatter tires are not as responsive in quick maneuvering, but climb a grade well, basically if your on a steep hill on a 200cc bike with 21”x 18” wheels and I am on a TW200 I will get to the top faster because I have better grip, it will not spin its tires as much, it may climb hills others cannot. It also would have really good cornering on and off road at higher speeds, less slip. But on wash board surfaces or series of small hills it would not do as well as a bike with thinner bigger wheel, the tires then become cumbersome.

Great, I wanted to study Chinese for a while, but I　end up lusting on new candy for an hour. Now really considering selling my bike for a new SUV　250.

Meaning a bike with the same power but thinner tires is faster because of less drag?　Is that it?　Not an issue for me. I'm not on bikes to race anyone, If it cruises at 100km/h thats enough for me in China. Found another thread discussing the SUV250, so I'll continue there.

Nimbler I would say the thinner tires are nimble, yeah the bigger tires would present more drag and resistance in turns.


I really like the SUV250.

The SUV250 is based on the FTR223 Honda.


I do not see the oversized tires of the TW200 as ideal for me, they come with knobs that could likely loosen fillings on paved roads.



There is design house called Heiwa that has a version of the FTR223.


The FTR223/SUV250 come with 18” tires front and back.
