Not according to me according to them….they are claiming it will be the 250cc and also with the oil cooler. The bike in the wheelie image does not have that engine.

CCW must have some very deep pockets to own 1/3 of Rhon. This is from Rhon's web site "The Companys annual output of Motorcycles, engines and ATVs is over 250,000 sets and the capacity of painting-processing metal and plastic accessories of motors, refrigerators and washing-machines is over 200,000 sets."

So I've been trying to check the Heist out, of course the nearest dealer to me is 5 hours away so that's out of the question. It would cost me $175 in gas just to make the round trip, and I ain't spending that kind of dough just to go LOOK at it. I figured that if there was any decent information out there it would be online, and I've been kind of surprised that I've been able to find so little that's relavent to what I'm looking for. There are a lot of people on this forum who seem to know the entire market of Chinese bikes inside and out, but I can't sift through all bikes mentioned because I've never heard of them before. I'm just not familiar with the market and don't care to become an expert on the subject.

So is there any concensus on this forum about the Heist?? For a 3-days a week commuter, on back roads with a 2-mile stretch of highway, would any of you BUY one? Is there a MUCH better alternative, that's not harder to find (I do have a Kymco dealer nearby, but....). I didn't think that at $3,195 it was THAT expensive, and I like the full-sized frame, forward controls and the fact that at least to me this would just be a gas-sipping scooter that doesn't look like a Vespa or Schwinn. Easy questions, I hope there's an easy answer.

    Thanks
    Steve

Total distance is 17.5 miles one-way, all but about 2 miles are under 50 mph. The last two are a low-speed highway, 55 mph.

I called PIT motors sales yesterday, someone was supposed to email me if there was a closer dealer than the Nashville area but I haven't heard anything yet.

First up Welcome to the boards Steve, there are a few guys on the boards that have the CCW Heist, Kevin has had his the longest out of all the guys I know on the boards, this one of the others i frequent.
You can see mine and my time with the guys at PIT Motors HERE

I love the Heist, it pulls like a beast and can easily do the speeds and distance you mentioned, and still want to give you more. Also the bike has sooo many possibilities that can be done to her.
The 3195 price tag IMHO is worth it for a Bike you know that can be Registered and tagged in every state and has a strong dealer network. Not to mention that i was able to check the motor and all the mechanicals first hand, I worked on Cars with my dad when he ran his own bays when I was a teen. The bike is solid and very well put together. i'm 200lbs and the bike laughed at me and asked if that was all I had.

there are some vids of the heist running on youtube if your interested

hope this answers some of your questions, as Far as PIT is concerned Scotty from CCW was down this week so they've been busy with him and the new bikes he's brought down. they are pretty good about getting back to people.

I'll shoot the guys an email and see if they have a dealer close to you.

Is it a fact that you can only get the Heist in black right now? I'm also not quite clear on just how long these bikes have been available here in the States, they do seem kind of hard to find unless you happen to have a CCW dealer in your area, mostly in the larger metro areas.

    RagTag,
Just about any street legal motorcycle will meet your commute requirements.
    Happy hunting for your bike.
