I just ran out to check, there was at least 1.5 qt in there, maybe a smidge more. I had the yearly inspection done a couple weeks ago and the dude was hyped on the bike, gave it a "check over". Probably "topped it off". Luckily it doesn't sound like it was that much over and I haven;t ridden much since. Actually hardly at all.
That's why I did a once over this weekend with new plug and oil. The bikes not running right now and it was too nice out not to touch it
I was just reading through the manual over the weekend and it states 900ml... it's more like 1200 or almost a qt and a half. Must be a chinese 900ml.

Here's the seat spring setup I tried. There are existing holes on the frame to mount up to.
I liked it! I had tried this with the original CCW seat. It dropped the back of the seat down pretty far though. Maybe I'll throw them back on with the new seat and see how it feels.

PAINT!
Painting the tank was crazy easy. Takes an afternoon of time and some supplies.
I used an airbrush and a craftsman pancake compressor.
I shot Autoair water based paint. They were available local and very affordable. I used a few different colors including a transparent smoke black, hot rod sparkle white, silver, and electric green. The 4 oz sizes were plenty for the tank. Use lots of reducer!

This is a blurry shot but you can see the sparkle over the transparent black.
The clear is a two part in a can. SprayMax 2 part rapid clear coat.Very gas resistant. It has a button on the bottom you pop before using to mix the two parts. Use a respirator, this stuff's nasty.

Not hard to do at all. Get creative guys!

Great job on the paint Kevin!! I've used Createx paints in the past to airbrush helmets, graphics on tins and other stuff, very easy to work with. Those autocolors look real good, I'll have to try those out sometime. What kind of clear is that stuff, is it water or solvent based?
Nevermind I found it, 2 part urethane. I don't really paint that much anymore but I find that the most toxic stuff usually performs the best as far as durability goes. The water based clears they use on bikes now are crap.

after a week or more with the side mount tag I decided to take it off and put the plate back in the original spot. Weird how it just started to grate on me looking at it on the side. the bike looks so much better with with the lines uninterrupted. Little more old school to be honest. I got my Remove Before Flying key fob yesterday from 233 Motorsports, in Red, and right on the key it went looks good like that. A bit of humor in what tries to be a very serious bike. Was shipped quick and without issues through the webstore. Good looking site KTM
No riding this week the weather has been unpredictable at best, and today the winds were a bit too high for my comfortGardo northern NJ/NYC

Great job KTM! $65 for a Frisco Heist tank is crazy man, you got any?
No vid of the keychain Gardo?!?joking man joking. Your bike sounds so awesome on video.
Warm and sunny up here in Boston. I'm starting to go loopy without riding, maybe a box from Weaver will show up for the weekend. I'll be sure to post up the carb mod Tom is doing. Fitting a normal Keihin pilot to the PZ30. Killer!
Happy Friday guys, be safe out there!

Happy Friday Guys. Nice Bright and sunny here in NYC as well
. I rode into work today from NJ. Was a bit chilly but that wasn't gonna sway me.
Kev you are such a comodian, but no vid.... yet
Yeah I'm gonna be heading to see tom in a couple weeks or hopefully have them come up for a bike night before hand. thinking of a few performance enhancements to the bike. Sprockets, carb, and such. nothing drastic oooo maybe a turbo kit, and a forced air ram and and ....
Heres a pic of the key fob on the bike
