I used hose clamps to lock it down. I then reattached the pipe started the bike and let it run to dry it. Took it off again then sprayed it with the silicone and let that set before putting it back on the bike

Thinking about doing this tonight (finally). I've read from quite a few people to not soak the wrap, instead just run it through warm water as your wrapping it. What's the benefit to one method over another? Less water to dry out if your not soaking I'd imagine, is it not very pliable if you don't let it soak? I didn't even have time this weekend to open the box yet to see the actual material. I just want to make sure I get this right.
