Okay first up open the gas cap, may be a vapor lock issue run the bike with the gas cap slightly open, check for kinks in the choke cab;e, throttle cable or the gas lines.
Most importantly call your dealer tomorrow

i got my heist from columbus scooter and cycle outlet. i'm planning on calling him first thing tomorrow, and hopefully have it back and running this week so i can get some enjoyment out of the bike! and i'll try the gas cap thing tomorrow for sure. another thing is that the bike seems to drain the battery because when you go to restart it after it shuts off it's almost like the battery doesn't have enough charge to restart it. i put a brand new fully charged battery in this evening and it drained that one as well. again not sure what i am supposed to do. have e-mailed ccw directly and my dealer. hopefully hear something tomorrow. and btw gardo, your bike is one that got me hooked on these! great job man

Dear MK2gtirob, or is it just "Rob"?
Could also be a simple (or less than simple) electrical issue. New bikes, especially Chinabikes, are not known for excellent quality control out of the factory, and though CCW tweaks these bikes a lot they may not check every electrical connection. Check for blown fuses. Check your spark plug wire at each end. Check your wiring harness for any connections that have come loose. Check the wiring at the kill and ignition switches.
My Jialing started dying on me a couple months ago, seemingly for no reason, and I stressed and stressed about what dire problem it might be. Turned out to be a connector under my seat had come loose, and apparently the two contacts would contact when I sat on the seat, but then would shake free after a bit of riding, which explained the intermittent shutdowns.
By the way, welcome to the forum. Sounds like you are new to motorcycling. If so, it's pretty clear you picked a great bike for learning. Everything is out in the open and exposed, so self-wrenching is inviting and easy, even for a newb. I say this as a relative newb whose engine is surrounded by cowling, making it more intimidating and less fun to tinker with stuff. Each tinker usually requires at least 20 minutes of plastics disassembly. Meh!
Don't stress. You'll sort it out and and learn in the process. Ride safely.

I would think its related to the stator and or coil its not making enough current. It is stalling because it is not sending enough current to the CDI and it drops or losses the spark. That low current is also causing the battery to drain.
These bikes are all DC aren’t they? So there is a rectifier that convert the AC to DC it could be that.
It’s likely electrical/mechanical I would say and they will have to trace it out.

mk2,
You paid for dealer support/warranty so take the Heist back to the dealer and let them fix it for you.Vince

welcome to the forums fellas, sorry to hear you're having issues Rob, I would echo the others, take it back to the dealer and let them sort it out. I know it stinks to be without a bike, especially so early on, but better safe than sorry. You want it running in tip top!
I didn't have the epic ride Gardo did, but I fit a ride in yesterday and put another 100+ miles on it with my dad, his friend and my friend. It was a cold ride though, I was expecting a warmup that never happened and probably should have had a coat on.
I'll be doing my first oil change here shortly, just cleared 500 miles yesterday.
