Ahhh, a hemihead Crocker. Now you're talking my language. I've had the great pleasure of watching the Wheels Through Time museum curator Dale Walksler do smoking burnouts on his Crocker -INSIDE- the museum. Don't believe it? Photo of the museum's floor attached. Absolutely surreal. I did upload a video on YouTube years ago.

Burn outs with a Crocker, no way if it was mine.
I went to that museum the other day on Tuesday and would you believe that is the only day of the week that they are closed.

    Barnone,

Too bad. Be sure to stop back before Oct., as Dale is finally pulling-up stakes and moving out west. AZ, I believe. If Dale is not there, ask for his son Matt to fire-up the Crocker, or any other bike on display for that matter. Hands-down, the finest vintage American motorcycle museum on the planet. I visit Maggie Valley each spring to kick-off my riding season.

    More mods:

    33mm black clip-on bars
    7" British-style headlight
    Polished aluminum headlight brackets
Mini cateye winkers in the back

To mount the clip-on's and lower the front, I simply pushed the fork tubes up through the triple clamps enough to mount them. The resulting lowered front end gives the bike a more sporting stance.

I've delayed the teardown after getting a quote from my local chopper shop on moving the foot controls back and building a new exhaust pipe. Seems that reality TV have gone to their heads despite their shop being sparce on any new business. So I'll tidy-up the wiring, paint the tins and call it a day.

The parcel rack was hand made in stainless steel years ago. Other than the clip-on's & fender struts, I just used spare parts lying around.

I like to recycle/reuse old parts.Saves money at times and keeps good old stuff alive.
