I'm running these 3" springs with a West Eagle seat. Super comfortable. Way nicer than the stock setup. Far more support and pretty forgiving over larger bumps. Totally smoothed the bike out. Check Lowbrow for the springs... $20 a set.

Hello all! Im jumping in head first!!!!! Iv been lurking this board for a few days now and have decided on a hiest for myself....... funny story.....I was window shopping craigslist looking at all the purrdy bobbers and found an ad for a hiest , next came research on reviews then I stumbled on this forum and now have decided im getting one......although it looks like stock is not gonna work for me, but when has stock ever been good enough.....lol I need info guys , and it seems like its ask and you shall receive over here so here i go.... plz tell me about the head, carb, chain, sprocket mod and anything else im gonna need to do.... I am a big guy and have ridden bikes since i was a kid so this is not my first rodeo and im handy with a wrench. that being said Iv always ridden dirt bikes of the 250 nature and as far as street bikes are concerned have never imagined being on anything smaller then a 1000.....Gardos love affair with his bike and also the shitwizard are easing my apprehension for the hiest and its knock off feel( words of a one time HD onwer, no offense intended) yes at one time I did indeed own an 883 sporty boared out to a 1200 and that america pride thing is in the back of my head say dont do it!!!! lol Im out in san diego so if anyone can steer me in the right direction of dealer and mod shop.... im hoping as iv seen on the forum a few times the guys at pit can help with getting my bike ready for day one?????? I know I may seem a little scatter-brained but there is a method to my mayhem... first ask lots of questions so im not scared, then pick what i want , then order, then smile .....atleast that's how it looks in my head hahahahh oh and iv got a few ideas about the way its gonna look too , cant wait . ok well thnx everyone and looking forward to those replies.

    SoCal,

Welcome to the forums. there is alot of great knowledge here. these are great bike and as a guy that has ridden an HD these are a lot of fun and a real head turner, I can point you to a couple dealers. My first choice is here on the East coast but since its CA there may be some emission laws and all I know a great guy out on the left coast Sacremento area I believe there are a few dealers out there but know this guy and he's all class, Steve Barber from Scooter City Sacremento, CCW West Coast Dealer and Distributor, 614 16th St. Sacremento, CA 95814 916 380-7522.
i have put a lot of miles on my lil darlin and the head mod+carb+exhaust+sprocket and chain make my bike ton up son.

Also check out our FB group we have over 100 members and different looks on the bikes inputs and mods all your question can be answered on place or another.

Nice Gardo! Love the skate wheel. You got abec-7's in there, lol? Be careful there's not too much tension with the spring, they're made for larger bikes.

Gotta say, with the new chain I don't see the need for a tensioner. The heavy duty chains from Weaver are the way to go! Run quiet and smooth.

I was testing the whole assembly and have to say it doesnt work with the Heist. I'm with you Kev the new chain doesnt need it but it still would have looked cool.
Well now that i have an idea how its made i may crank one out just to see. I have an old Riedell 101A wheel smaller diameter than the powell, just will need to reseat the bearings for the faster rotations
