    Did you check your carb? And another thing: remeber the choke? First I thought it is open when it is way up, but it is the other way around: when you start, it should be down and then you push the lever up again. Maybe you are driving with your choke wide open and this is why you are using so much fuel...

    its not possible to ride with open choke i guess, when you accelerate its hm choking. How do I check carb? Another thing to learn;) On chinese forum they said it might be that i ride in not very economical way hehe

    Well, redlining it will definetly not help

    Messing with carbs is, from what I heard, in the premium league of MC maintenance. Maybe one of the advanced mechanics in BJ with his own workshop wants to give a weekend training course... Are you listening, LJH?
    Or maybe after riding on an EFI JH600 you forgot all about carb cleaning, jetting, etc?

    Seriously, I have another german friend who is a trained trucking engineer, multiple former MX champion of Berlin, self-trained CJ650 mechanic and in general a wizard when it comes to motorbikes. Unfortunately, he went home for some months and it is only half decide if he actually will come back, but if he is coming back to the Jing, I am going to press him hard for that carb training workshop.

    I had the rear brk. lock up as well. It was the "stop bolt" under the brk. lever. It had lossened up and applied the brk. Turns the disc blue and wore out the pads before I caught it. replaced the pads, but still using the "blue" disc.
    The chain and the tires are kind of substandard and don't last long. I replaced the chain at 1,000, Km and went one tooth bigger on the counter shaft sprocket[12T to a 13T] at that time.
    The filter should be first rinsed in solvent[gas], then water and left to dry, then an app. of foam filter oil. Don't over-oil it.
    I've had no other problems, currently at 8,000 Km.
    Would like to find a better rear shock though, the stock one is awful.

    My Jialing came with the carb calibrated very well, only slightly lean on the low-speed mixture.
    There is no point to mess with these carbs, as it will not gain any power. Mixture settings only effect idle and off=idle drivability.

    The recommend solvent by chinese maker is Kerosene http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queroseno

    "advanced mechanics"? I'm the guy who had to PM ChinaV to ask him how to remove the seat on a Galaxy XTR!

    I sure do like carbs. I like the ability to see/feel/smell everything that is going on. And carbs are, actually, surprisingly simple ... especially on single cylinder bikes.

    But I'd definitely sign up for your friend's carb-workshop. One never knows everything. Or, as is often the case for me, "anything."

    EFI? Well, I have a couple other EFI bikes that run just fine - they are great when everything is working properly. The JH600 issue kinda reminds me of the infamous Microsoft Windows 95 "blue screen of death." MS solution for a "stall"? "Restart"

    Well, put yourself in my shoes, for me everybody who has ridden a motorbike more than one year and has more experience than bringing the bike to the mechanic is considered "advanced".

    But I am going keep an eye on carb ws question. As far as I understand carbs are not that difficult to comprehend but the parts are tiny and there are a lot of springs and jets and levers that can be damaged easily...
