This is not what I asked you to do. Next time the engine dies do not open the gas cap, do not try to start the engine(turn on), just open the drain screw and see if gas runs out. This will determine if you have fuel in the float bowl when the engine stops running.

You might have an electrical problem that is intermittent.
Go to a Harbor Freight store and get one of these spark testers.

Next time your engine dies, hook up the spark tester and see if you are getting spark when you try to restart the engine.
