Sad news, the Jialing JH600 sidecar got crated again and is on the way back to Shanghai after all the fun in the sun around Hainan Island (Southern China).

Great relaxed riding around Sanya and the rest of Hainan Island and lets not talk about the pleasant weather every day, empty beaches and mountain regions (easy to avoid the touristy scams, crap and traps). Visited some nice areas during the island stay like Sanya, Dadonghai, Riyue Bay, Shimei Bay, Haitang Bay, Boao, Wenchang, Haikou, Rifan Bay, Sanya Bay, Serenity Coast Marina, Wuzhishan, Longmu Bay, Monkey Island, Clearwater Bay, Wuzhizhou Island, Yalong Bay, Ledong to just to name a few of the well-known spots.
The Jialing JH600 sidcecar had no problems, never missed a beat at all during the approx. 5000k's daily riding and bike tours and only required minor regular maintenance like drive chain lubing and once drive chain adjustment.

Hope you get some serious bike riding done in 2013 wherever you are, seeya cruising along the roads....somewhere - sometime......

ps: Southern China and Hainan Island cruising will continue in the near future.

Fantastic report from Hainan, TB. Thanks for sharing your experiences & pics. Naturally,we are all green with envy (matching your JH bikes' colors) and are plotting to kill you when you return.

Glad the JH600B satisfied your expectations. When I had mine, one thing I had thought about adding was a marine BBQ that could be stored in the trunk and then mounted on the sidecar, as needed at a camping spot. I had thought about either fabricating the front machine-gun mount so the BBQ mount could be placed there, when parked, or even just using the passenger's grab rail. I had used these on both power & sail, at anchorages, and they worked well, cooking up fresh Dungeness crabs we caught with traps and/or success at bringing in a few Pacific Sockeye Salmon. I guess a concern would be availability of replacement gas cylinders, in China.

No worries, don't get me started - we master the art of BBQ's quite well and had a few cook-off with mates while on the island, no MSG ladden crap food or instant cup noodles over at my parties....
