The 660 I believe has a Minarelli engine, or it did at one time.
Here is another suggestion for them from Oberdan....also uses the 660cc Yahmaha Minarelli.
I am surprised that they can still make the two-stroke these days?

So here you have the 660 Minarelli that is in a lot of motorcycles or it at least is available to anyone that wants to buy it.
Yahmaha allows that, but BMW does not at least not yet. If Loncin could sell that 650 to anyone these small brands may take the engine if it is priced under the Minarelli?
The bike I would want is the MT03

I checked from their website, the engine they use is Minarelli. A new name to me. Google would probably tell interesting things of that brand.
That Californian is a beauty. Could buy anytime. (Just why it does have the exhaust pipe and muffler on the same side with the chain? Makes it hard to maintain the chain and can make the exhaust muffler dirty more easily by chain lubricant. Oh well, it is CAD picture and not a production model.)
Surprisingly Jawa is still doing two strokes! Czech Republic is part of EU, so EU's emission laws should be enforced in Czech. Hence I don't understand how they can manufacture those two strokes unless they export them out of EU.
Was very sad to see how few different models Jawa have novadays. A legendary brand appears to be dying.

It is because the artist wanted to show the exhaust and the better face of the engine, it is not a real motorcycle.
Minarelli is an Italian Engine factory owned by Yahmaha.

Had to Google Longway Round in Mongolia.
Jawa did indeed use recently Rotax engines and they had three different designs of motorcycles with Rotax engine. The outdated website of Jawa's Finnish importer still does have pictures of those.
http://www.jawa.fi/models.php?lang=fi
A little bit too much "custom" for my taste, but not bad. Could buy if a good deal.
That picture is from the website of the Finnish importer. Note how the background shows some ugly warehouse wall. It was probably too difficult to take decent pictures of the bike

Here is the real kicker, they tried that and it did not fly so good?
Jawa California.
With a 660cc
With a Chinese Honda CMX250

Now we're talking!
I think that was a USA export model. I remember reading about it years ago. Back then I did not like it so much, but now I approve it big time. I give it 5 stars :D
But then, this new model and the exhaust muffler -_-
Could they not make more fail with that placement? I wonder could I place it more wrongly with limitations must be 'properly' placed and not in some totally ridiculous way xD

something is just not right about these,
These never made it to the US, not that I know of.
The exhaust routing in bad and the engine finish too bright.
