about a sportster i used to run, one day on a take off, the rear sprocket just spun around. but i did have the sprockets all juiced up, 1st was more like 2nd, and 4th never ended. that is why i was curious to the size sprocket you use. if take off is not instant, meaning a lot of throttle and clutching to get going, that would be puting too much unmanageable pressure on the sprocket bolts. now i dont know how many teeth you have on the back but i do know that the second time i had to fix my sporty i changed the gearing to please the drive-train. maybe you have to go back up a tooth or 2. ???

For an old guy(yeah i know 48 is not old,but feels like it sometimes) I am holding up fine with the ride.Sometimes I get that weedeater feeling in my hands on longer rides, but overall...just great.
I have a 35 tooth on the rear. I try to shift smooth on it coming off the lights, but sometimes I jerk her. Guess its just part of the ride to go through stuff like this.
