I saw a blue RX3 for sale in one of the bike shops in Chongqing on Friday. Before I realised it I was drooling. It really is an awesome looking machine. Compared to most of the bikes on the road it does stand out. It cost 20800 RMB so I have to do some financial planning here. Plan to ask them if I can take it for a ride. They told me the tank was 16 l. I have the specs at home, will do a check. Power too.

The blue one was my second choice.
So far its been great for me. I haven't quite figured out that tank yet. It has a gas gauge on the display but it doesn't work properly. After filling up, once i get to about 60kmh the tank reads half empty. So that could be something but I've never been able to put more than 9L in it. My manual says it has a 15L tank and I can't find a switch for any reserve anywhere so I don't really know what the problem is. I think it might be that gas gauge though because i always end up putting very different amounts in when its on empty.
One very good thing though I figured out that it will get about 2.2L/100km which is much better than I was expecting

Are you really getting this kind of mileage. That's a bit hard to believe, my FZ16 consumption is the same but my motor is only 153cc. If that's the case, with a 16 liter tank capacity you can theoretically go up to more than 700kms in a single tank. Crazy! That's a real adventure bike.

Hello, all, I just buy this bike yesterday, white one. AWESOME!

But the problems have began. When I drive, as soons as I start the engine, by the right side of the motor, I get a lot ot "wind". Later this when driving like 20 minutes or less it starts to get warm. My right leg gets really warm. All this "vapor" arrives to the right leg of the passenger also. I guess something is wrong.

What should I say the Zongshen mecanic to check. He doesn't seem very experienced. I know my bike is the first in sell around my city.

    __________

Also, directional lights not working (right one). Right front light, and right rear light.

    __________

Also, the kilometers I drive rise really quick! I drive for around 1 hour and now I hve 21 KM rode on the bike.

Any solutions I can made check?

I just want to enjoy this awesome bike :D

I'm interested in this bike as well. I am definitely planning to buy something soon. I was set on the X2, but after I was told I can't get one until after Feb16 by Shineray, I realized maybe I would rather travel more than do motocross/supermoto stuff. Now I'm back to indecision. I do like the looks of that bike. One thing that concerns me is that it's relatively untested. I wish there was more information to be gleaned from your report. I don't see how the thing could possible weigh 175lb. Its price point is definitely more in my ballpark than the X5. The X5 seems overpriced to me. I also wonder that this bike may be a bit small for me - I'm 6'5" (1.95m). I'm guessing that they're going to make a version with a bigger engine? I'd like to see these bikes in person, but living in Guangzhou, it's almost impossible, and definitely a lot of trouble. I'm watching, waiting, reading...

I would suggest to wait for the Shineray, based on what you want a bike for. I do think quality will not be an issue with the RX3. However, price is a consideration. Ok, wait till Feb. or until you can compare them...

I wish i had more to tell you about this thing but really I haven't had any problems worth writing about. Im nearing 2000km and most issues are just minor or things to be expected with a chinese bike. For example, the foam air filter is placed in such a way as to make it impossible to reach without removing all the panniers and most of their support, and the chain is starting to loosen unevenly so I'll have to start looking into replacing that. ALso, the pannier on the side of the exhaust is awkwardly shaped and uselessly small.

Now that I think about it, I have been having trouble with the radiator. Every time I ride I add a bit of coolant because the reserve tank seems to drain out. The coolant doesn't go directly into the reserve tank and starts overflowing after about 2 seconds of slow pouring. I've removed the reserve tank, which is surprisingly difficult, and filled that directly only to find after a day or so that its back to nearly empty. I can't find any leaks so Im starting to think that the radiator was never filled properly when I bought it. I don't have any issues with overheating in this weather luckily assuming the engine thermometer is working but I hope nothing was damaged. I don't really know much about water cooling systems...
I've also never seen or heard the fans working.

Culcune is probably right about the engine. No issues whatsoever and it sounds the same as it did when I bought it. Just that radiator is starting to worry me..

About the weight, in the manual it says the dry weight is 150kg. I did drop it when I stopped next to some deep mud a few days back... pretty embarrassing... but I couldn't pick it up by myself. I'd like to think it was the mud but Im also not very strong anyway.. With two people it was quite easy though.

If you can think of any questions I'd be happy to try and answer them.

On the zongshen website it says this thing has some kind of USB interface. Where is that located?

Also, I'm wondering how this bike will fit tall people. I'm 6'5" (1.95m) and I cannot find this bike in Guangdong to even look at...
