On a related note; I read on a Ch!nese MC forum that the Hefei CBD MC ban trial (Jul-Sept) was a success and is now a permanent ban - so another city (Hefei) becomes another 'dry' city with a complete MC ban. In the post I read that any rider caught on a MC within the banned area will be subject to CNY200 fine and 12 points! Meanwhile any rider caught on a MC without a MC DL (D or E class) will be subject to a fine, bike confiscation and mandatory 15 day detention.
