Congratulations first Any chance to provide some more details on the muffler

    Hi all,

Thanks for the great package of information it's been very informative. But it seems that i arrived to china too Late to have latest info in this forum about these jh600 bikes.

If somebody have more specs or just anything about the new models, or problems with older ones, I would be appreciated to be shared, as I'm seriously thinking about to buy one.

    Thanks for the links,

Especially maintenance program is one of good things to know but for me the oil change every 3000km seems little often, How much is the oil capacity of these?

Have been spending some time in this forum and elsewhere to dig more info about how to register a bike in the bike banned area I'm staying currently, still not not sure yet but will keep digging.

Understand the model has been out for years now and seems to be reliable choice but most of messages releated to quality and durability I ffound from this forum are not very fresh, but ok I believe no news is good news. So I will continue serious thinking.

    3wardwood,

I have had one of these since 2010. Biggest problems to date have been my fault. I have some old postings on this forum about all the issues. The bike is west of Yixing at a second home I have in the country. I am thinking of buying a bigger bike but if you are ever out west of your location before I change over, let me know and you can ride mine and get a feel for them.

Reliable bikes, them Jialing 600 been around for a while. The forum had a solid following of Jialing owners (solo / sidecar) based in China with great feedback and ride reports.
Most have moved on to other parts of the planet or joined other forums as here you find mostly buyers and owners of the cheap as chips and dodgy bikes (trying to boost performance with illegal engine swaps, etc.).

    Pal,

Yes, understand members of this kind of forum will move and change, I will keep reading ride reports etc.

    TexasAggie,

Thanks for the offer I keep it in my mind it's not really far away. But one question: you mentioned planing to change it to bigger one, may I ask what is that?

I am 6'2" and 300lbs when fully geared up. I ride a BMW R1200GSA in Texas. I bought the Jialing because I just could not bring myself to spend over $50K for the same bike here in China. That was 5 years ago. I changed the suspension on the Jialing (new progressive springs in front and a complete new adjustable Wilbers shock in the back) The suspension is better than my capabilities but the 600 thumper engine is just not that exciting with my fat ass on it. That and I get bored with a steed after a few years unless it is exactly what I want anyway. (like a R1200GSA or maybe a new Triumph) China has a way of wearing you down to do things you would not have done in the past so I am going to up the ante and spend a little more to get something new. I am actually looking at buying a HD Sportster and doing a Burly scrambler conversion on it. My first steed here in the middle kingdom was the CJ750. Lots of fun.....when it ran! Then the JH600. It does what it does well but the itch to do something different needs scratching.

You are right that you are less than 2 hours away. The offer to ride mine is genuine (as long as you have a license so they cannot confiscate the the blue animal if something goes the wrong direction!)
