Decided to just break it, much easier than I thought. Rides decent, Gearing ratio vastly improved, looks like i top out at about 62 mph GPS, sits happy at about 55. Reasonable, though i was really hoping to cruise at 65-70.
All this progress went down the drain when I shifted into 1st and bent my shift linkage, which later snapped off entirely at home. Everything is made of cast metal, the same hot wheels are made from. Which would be fine, if it didn't snap off under pressure similar to brittle plastic.

Anybody got a bolt up replacement at the click of a button?
I guess I'm being lazy here since I should just measure it myself and find something to work online

Truth be told I'm likely going to have it replaced under warranty, but I'm not looking forward to the 1-2 weeks of waiting involved, riding season ticks away.
