KTM 950 SUPER MOTARD retails at US$17500.00... + import + tax + time + 30 kg heavier than Highland.
Regarding 650 KLR and south America trip: I already have a cheap 600 trail (jia Ling), and I don't like tortillas...
Basically 85 HP for 166 kg sounds like a lot of fun.

aMAZING - I have been trying to find out when these bikes are to be released.
Has anyone seen a Chinese model for real yet, if this is genuine then Louija have really pulled their finger out.
Their web site gives no clue to the measures used but if they use the same as the Highland site then the weight is up to 180kilos and the power is down to 44bhp. At 12000 usd that will not be good enough even if they have ironed out all the fuelling problems.
I gather KTM 950se are going at around that in UK:ohmy:

That looks like the 5 year old Swedish built bike - they have changed a little.
FWIW the magazine road tests of the 950 Highland sm against the KTM were pretty bad. However I have ridden the sm they tested and found that it was not properly prepared having a set of forks sprung and valved for a 450 and a loose timing wheel. With the timing wheel fixed and using the 'dive to the sea bed' forks it was great fun.

Hi Nick
any progress on chasing down these bikes yet? Has anyone seen a genuine China produced version as there are still Swedish built bikes around?
After telling you that production had started you think they might offer the chance of a test ride.
I am really interested to know if they have done any modification to the original design inlet system.
Cheers, John
