    I sold my BMW on Saturday, which means I still need a general bike for my 60 kilometer daily commute. I was spending over ¥6000 per year just in tires with the beemer, so the Yingang looks like an economical choice for my twisty mountain ride to the office every day. Not to rub it in, but I do ride every day, year round, down here in GD and it adds up to a lot of mileage.

    What I want(ed) from QingQi is the QM250GY-2D adventure touring type bike they've been offering for the last six months. It's different than my previous QM250GY-B(ASD). What chaps my ass, is the fact that QingQi introduced the QM250GY-B(ASD) in October of 2008 and the bike is still hardly available. Yes, there are a few in select markets, but they're still trying to pawn off the old QM200 instead of focusing on their 250 range. Furthermore, for over six months they've been showing the world their QM250GY-2D at trade shows and gracing the covers of magazines with it, yet when you offer a fistful of cash, and actually want to take delivery, you find out only one unit exists and it's just a prototype.

    It's taken weeks, a dozen phone calls/e-mails, and a trip to the factory. I still have no confirmation on when, or if, I can actually take delivery of the vehicle. Ask some other members here about the responses they've gotten from QingQi, I'm sure it's only me that gets ignored.

    On December 5th I decided to buy the TGR from Galaxy, it's sitting in my garage, with plates, registration and everything already. I paid for my Yingang today and it's due to arrive next Monday. If those companies can be so responsive, why can't QingQi? I'm still going to make one more giant effort for the QM250GY-2D, but if it fails, it will be my last attempt as sticking with QingQi.

    Jesus will you stop with all the new bikes please? I'm running out of congratulations here! Seriously though, congrats again!

    I cannot wait to hear your thoughts on this bike, i was very intrigued when i first read about it on this forum a few months back. Fair balls to you for taking the plunge. Looks like a nice frame, and it's certainly sexy in black. Those front brakes should be game for a few nosies too. The first thing i would do is stick a carbon exhaust on that and then proceed to ruining the ergonomics with some clip-ons to make it look a bit more café!

    Regarding the engine, does anyone know if it's exactly the same as the Shineray X2? I mean, does it come out of the same factory or is it the same plans manufactured by someone else?

    PS: best of luck dealing with qingqi, those guys are really taking the piss. I do hope they pull the finger out as that 2D looks like a good tourer; but if they do decide to just ignore you it will hopefully be some of the worst press they'll get. Really, why does anyone need to beg to give them money?

    It's like QingQi would like you to take your business elsewhere, which is apparently what you've begun to do. Can't blame you for that. Hopefully someone from QingQi is lurking around on this site and catches wind of the fact that they're forcing customers away. Though, having had experience with different businesses in China, I can't say that they would care even if they did know. Baffles me.

    Congrats however on the new family member! Quite a looker in my opinion, can't wait to hear about how it rides and feels. Have you had a test ride yet? I'm assuming you have, so let's hear some more about it! Too much power, can't keep the front end on the ground?? Going over the handle bars every time you graze the brake lever? We want to know!

    Yingang indeed looks pretty customer friendly. Look at their contacts page: you can choose from four women to chat with: Jenifer, Jessie, Coco and Daphne.

    Why am I telling you this? You're probably on a first-name basis with all four by now!

    Now if we could just persuade these Chinese makers to use real names for their bikes: "New for 2011! The water-cooled Cocolicious 250!"

    Frankly, it'll be a cold day in hell before any Chinese manufacturer spends any time on this site, even though it's loaded with tons of global expertise and marketing intelligence.

    *sigh* I wish you were wrong. But you're not. The Chinese market is large enough that nearly every Chinese business operates on the "be crappy and sell crap to everybody once" idea. So the whole idea of "responding to the market" is as foreign to them as saying sorry when they manage to crash into you when you're the only two people on a 3 meter wide sidewalk.

    Was told by Yingang that they developed and manufacture the motor in house. Shineray produces it under license from Yingang. I don't know if that is true or not.

    Nope, never seen, heard, or ridden one. Just liked the pictures and was impressed by their customer service.

    The person I'm dealing with at Yingang is Jenifer. She's been very responsive to all of my questions.

    Love the look of this baby...congrats V . Looking is one thing though, and quality of components, assembly and design are another, only time will tell . But they seem to be pretty clued in, judging by the English on their site. So this is the water-cooled reverse-engineered Honda 17KW 249cc engine, nice, they claim 19, must be at the crank not back wheel. 17 inch tires, nice, but which brand? Registrable now? CCC? Post Jan 2011 emissions? How much $$$?

    good choice, V, I though I was the 1st guy who buy and write up a brief review by the time Yingang had their YG250NF FI ready in next couple of months. Let us know how this baby goes.

    I happen to know about the questions, certification (HeGeZhen) date is before June 2010, so the bike is still registrable under euro ii emmission.

    They are currently under development of euro iii FI version and cosmatic overhaul (similar to yamaha fz 150, they haven't show to everyone yet), also in planing a 4 months long trip tour all China cities recruiting 10 riders.
