Sdm - I am from Northeast Columbia but in Clemson now going to school. There is a verified dealer in lexington but from there website it looks like they are more of a hardknock group (which is a whole other argument ha). I went through a place in Augusta GA and they were great so far. I am on my blackberry right now but when I get to a computer I will try to get you more info on both shops. As far as I have seen these shops are closest to you.Maybe your insurance will be easier to deal with now that I will have insured mine in SC haha

Yeah man that's me. West Eagle Seat with Choppershox. Everything bolts right up. Absolutely worth it. So cush. Try just the seat first, I think it made the biggest improvement. The shocks do help as well but are bit pricey.
You can get some white LED bolts at your local parts store for the lower plate light.
Congrats man, fun little bikes.

I'm working with Chris over at Stump House Scoots in Lexington since he's only a couple miles from the house. He does good work if you need anything done in the future. I had a chance to see a Heist project he did for another guy in Lexington (which I think is the only one in the Midlands so far) and was pretty impressed with it.

Hey guys made it to moms tonight. The old ma and I take off at 7 am got two vid cameras on the bike and meeting with the rest of the group by 8. Weaver did me a solid and stop by my place tonight. He wanted to go over the bike before my trip to make sure all was in order. Man this guy is awesome, he didn't need to do it but he did. At this point he's more a friend than the guy doin the work on my bike.
We'll its late and I have an early rise so you guys have a good time and ride safe.
Thanks for the support and well wishes.Gardo northern NJ/NYC

Hey y'all. Trying to make sure I'm making the right choice on my first bike. I'm seeing some good deals on used HD Sportsters near me and I want to make sure I'm not buying too little bike with the Heist. I realize it's a 250 (or 229 I guess) but with some carb mods, the emissions junk stripped, and straight pipes will this thing get from 0 - 45/50 in a reasonable time? Can I expect to stay ahead of an F250 on a 50mph secondary road? I'm 5' 11", 170lbs. I'm not looking to tear ass down the Interstate, I just don't want some soccer mom or big ass pickup to turn me into a speed bump 'cause I can't get up to speed in time. Any input from you folks who've been riding these a while is appreciated.

I get up to 50 pretty quick if needed, I'm about the same size as you. I've yet to strip out the emissions junk, not sure what all needs to go, but I do have new pipes which gave it a little more pep. I think you'd be just fine with this, some are reporting topping out around 70+, that's not been my experience yet, but I've yet to really push it, I've not really been on highways yet
