JK3 - Check your cable dude. Make sure there's no kinks or bends. Check that it's tightly screwed on both ends and squirt some bicycle cable lube in it while you're there.

I replaced my speedo with a plain MPH unit. $40 and works perfect. I used a 2240:60 ratio, seems right on.
