it dosnt have an oil filter just a centrifugal spinner on the end of the crank

you can clean it out any time you have the r/h case off to deal with the clutch, but they are ok for ages with no attention

use 20/50 oil in summer and 15/40 in winter , any good mineral oil is ok (castrol has always been my favorite)

I'm confused. Is that BD150GY a Jialing or a Shineray or some other celestial beast?

Nice looking bike regardless, and look forward to you working out the kinks and posting some ride reports!

    cheers

    An old post about oils..

q2) Sorry not sure I get your answer. Mr. Wang is this same taobao seller?? http://jlyymt.taobao.com

About battery, get a Yuasa brand battery with highest rated amp that would still fit in the battery box on your bike. Charge it properly.

q3) difficult to find out, but maybe you can find out. How heavy is the bike?

That rear brake oil cylinder is very vulnerable, not sure, photo not clear, but seems its mounted infront of the rear peg. You'll do some damage when you drop the bike. here are some closeups of how it's mounted on my bike. I'll post a better photo, but you can see it on the right. See how it's protected behind the peg mount?

The BD150GY stickers are designed to fool all but the most ruthless of registration checks. According to Mr Wang it is essentially a Jialing, but with other stuff added

I didnt think about the rear brake pad. There isnt a lot I can do though.

Mr Wang Jian is the taobao seller. He says he can get all the bikes pictured on his website registered, although thats here in Chong Qing, I don't know about elsewhere. Zhu has registered his so presumably OK. His bikes are all C2, but the paperwork says otherwise.

Re. "q3) difficult to find out, but maybe you can find out. How heavy is the bike?" - what was the question? I don't know how heavy it is, although it weighs a ton. I am not looking forward to dropping it.

Oh yeah VIN number is LTXZCKL00BA003183 - does that mean anything to you?

    Here's a free VIN checker.

Says the VIN hails from "Tianjin Zhongyang Xunda Motor Co Ltd".

    Interesting.

I'd call Mr. Wang the only custom bike builder we know of. Can he build Harley knock offs??

Yes, I was just asking about the bike's weight. A ton sounds right. As for dropping the bike, it's a basic rule of riding::

You ride >> you fall. nothing bad about that, in fact I think everyone should learn how to drop a bike gracefully. On my Shineray, the pegs fold neatly and the handguards, pegs, and rack touch get roughed up in a fall.
