It never even should have been considered….what they are doing is incredibly dangerous. It is being done in public view and likely will be stopped and whoever behind it held accountable.
Engineers, that being professional civil engineers take oaths, they swear to never intentionally put human life at unnecessary risk!
Governments typically have to authorize or permit demolitions as well as construction plans. They have to review them and then sign off on them.
The outcry over this likely and rightfully should be deafeningly loud, if anything good comes from this it should be reform to the procedures policies and regulations behind it. The people behind it should be pulled out on it and held accountable.
Those of you that live in china should pay close attention and give serious consideration to the structural integrity of all that exists around you, this incident demonstrates the need to do so.

One of the greatest ones i saw was a guy cleaning the facade of a very high building. He was hanging half way down the facade, on a rope that hung from the top and went all the way down. At the bottom there was another guy holding onto the rope, running up and down the pavement to swing the guy above him and increase his reach. It was hilarious.
Wish i had my camera that day too...

G'Day,
Moron drove out of the compound besides the middle ring road (between Xianxia / Hongu road in Shanghai) straight into the concrete wall, did a U-turn to take the pics, made my day big time...!!!

Hey it's easy to criticize, but I'd like to see you try and drive while drinking a coffee, shaving and texting at the same time.
