The Sanya to Shanghai moonshine rum run was a full success and herewith mission accomplished as the JL sidecar was delivered to the HQP Roadhouse as per shipping contract today.
No damage to report to the sidecar bike and rum bottles....

I recall you explaining over dinner a few nights ago about your concerns with crating / shipping / etc. Check out the forklift lowering the bike by the side car frame ... yikes, that can't be good ... the entire weight of the two-wheel part is being suspended by the connecting frame.

One's gotta be there to see what happens.

your talking about a BLACK sidecar? watch out as I know two JL sidecar owners that ordered black bikes and ended up with black / green sidecar bikes. they just spray painted the plastic panels and sidecar bucket black over the green. paint is coming off and looks crappy with green frame work on the bike and sidecar.....

Oh, you got that right, definitely need to supervise the crating and uncrating and if possible the loading and unloading of the crate (truck) was yeah, good to meet up again in the cold north....

Sanya downtown areas trying again implementing the motorbike bans.... mostly enforced around the KFC / MacDonalds located at Jifang Road (Sanya CBD).... who goes to the fast food joints anyway?

the Sanya bike ban was in place for many years but nobody cared, the upcoming Hainan Rendevouz http://hainanrendezvous.com/en/ and the recent Yalong Bay weekend family stay of the new big chief might have stirred the sh$t a little bit again and my trusty sources on the big island tell me it's mainly targeting unlicensed scooters and bikes........

No worries, the Easter Run to the Sun still going ahead as planned.

Really hate the ever changing weather in Shanghai this time of the year, got a bottle of sun lotion out of the cabinet, prepped and loaded the "Dingaling" JH600 for a decent run-in ride and heading South on my latest road trip......

Went straight through Hangzhou city, actually passing through the West Lake area (painful slow riding through heavy traffic as they build new elevated roads in city once again) following directions given by my Garmin GPS, got quite a few strange looks from car drivers and cops at stop lights due to the "no motorbike ban" in Hangzhou. Never got stopped by the ever present cops and two gave me actually a thumbs up sign, must be bikers themselves.....


Between Hangzhou (Zhejiang) - Quzhou (Zhejiang) the National Road #320 is lined with stone carvings for sale at the road side, the stone / concrete carvings are everywhere in all sorts of shapes and sizes.........
