I wear a full-face Bell helmet, riding gloves, and a leather jacket. Not all riding gear, but I really don't regularly ride in t-shirt, shorts and flipflops, but I will when we have a nuclear armegeddan, ala Mad Max, and it's just me, the AK47, and a feral kid!

Oh really , a Bell Helmet ???? Now Simon , a baseball cap with a pin-wheel on top doesn't constitute a helmet , even if it has a Bell that jingles on it silly .
Now you give Zippy the Pin Head back his hat damn you !!!
Does your leather jacket say JC Pennys , or K-Mart on the label ????
This all reminds me of the movie " Forest Gump " ???
Stupid is as stupid does ....

When my buddy ( dead ) rode my girlfriend home ( dead ) the night they ate a tree at 100 mph , neither were wearing anything but smiles ( like you ) ....I was 16 years old , it still hurts ......................
I just hope your wife and kid can handle the pain of seeing you die or maimed forever as well as I do now over just a great girlfreind and my buddy in crime being stupid one hot night in California . His RD 400 didn't fare to well either .

    Cheers , Snortin

PS...Armor isn't just for Knights in the 13th Century Simon ...
Even if its 105 degrees out in Yuma, you need to wear armor . If someone told you riding is always fun , they have never rode . Riding the street is more like a Gladiator event , you being eatin by the Lions most of the time , its how the game works Simon .
It's a Yin Yan effect , a balance of thrills Vs. danger Culcune . When you mount your bike for a ride each time , and your not actually weighing out the fact that you might not be comming back home , then your nieve at least , stupid at most .
Stupid is as stupid does , you win

Hey, I win the stupid prize!!

I am in a helmet and gloves, and a thick leather jacket--I will look around for actual riding gear, as you gear nazis seem to insist upon, but I really don't wear t-shirts/shorts/ and flip-flops except on a brain-dead day, like the other day. I do appreciate the concern, but you guys really have less to worry about than you think--really!

    (baseball cap with a pin-wheel--that's a good one )

This is where you set up the tripod and take a picture of your self wearing nothing but a beanie and a fuzzy dot just to spite us.

Eh... on second thought, scratch that.

Hey hows that report project coming?

Why would I need a fuzzy dot?

Project has commenced-ish (walk-around shots), but need new back tire to ride

...sounds like the mantra of a certain political party here in the US that just got a president in power

Or are you secretly in Obama's cabinet as "Minister of Motorcycle Safety (not a safety nazi)"

Even though you are smarter, better looking, safer, and not drinking buracho tequila, I will always have the country of Mexico near me (unless I move) which come to think of it,means nothing in the grand scheme of things

Still looking for better riding gear

    Simon out

You know that all your Obama bashing will not go well with Congress, who are supposed to confirm your nomination as Motorcycle Safety Czar who Isn't Really a Safety Hardnose.

Waiting for my pink cat-crap in a box,

    Simon
