yes very very appealing, and along with 2 years warranty and no MOT for 3 years, i think it is a perfectly sensible to buy one....
and ya never give up about the second-hand Japanese bikes..
everyone has their own point of view on bikes, but at least i know my bike is new and has not had the living shit revved out of it or even wheelied or not been serviced correctly..People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do

I have that same problem that I want my bikes new. Could had got cheap used Jawas, or BMW K75 year 1994, which I lusted a lot. Now though very happy with the Jawa.
If you pay 3000 of a bike now and get nothing of it after 5 years, it is about the same as if you pay 5000 now and get 2000 of it after 5 years. About the same only because in the latter case you drive 5 years with a better bike and in the former case you have 2000 to invest on something.

Don't smell the kool-aid too hard. A warranty is not a cloak of all invincibility. Merely a 'promise' that if you continue to spend money with them in the short-medium term they may look after you. Then again they may hang you out to dry especially after that magic 2 year deadline has passed, with no parts when your bike goes wrong leaving you with an un-ridable, un-sellable lemon in your garage or drive-way. Sometimes they even leave bikes on their shop floor for months waiting for parts to come in as a way to sit out the warranty.I hope nothing bad happens and that you have a great bike, but if you think you bought a bike just as good as a Japanese bike for half the money you are mistaken.
Also wheelies are not necessarily abuse they are simply that someone knows how to use a rear brake, throttle and clutch at the same time. Done by a noob they can wear out the head bearings.Last edited by ZMC888; 10-07-2015 at 01:07 AM.
