Had a conversation with 刘志东 last night, Jialing's Shanghai contact. According to him, we should all stop holding our breadth for a revision of our ECU. Jialing just released the ECU 3.0 recently, for supporting which Jialing had to redesign the head block and a few other things (big and confusing words). All versions prior to 3.0 will not be able to upgrade due to the lack of hardware support. Jialing is not offering a hardware upgrade path for older JH600 either. So there you have it, we all have to live with our stalling problems forever.
If there is any comfort in this, I was told that the new design and the matching software do indeed solve the stalling problem.
